Should I use followers or impressions?

Followers work better when comparing creators on the same profile. Impressions are more useful for a single viral post where the reach is much higher than the creator’s follower count. Do not mix the two when comparing creators

What engagement rate is considered good?

It depends on the platform and the creator’s size. For many feed-based accounts, 1% to 5% is a reasonable range when measured against followers. If the engagement is around 3 times higher than the usual rate for that niche while reach stays flat, treat it as something worth checking rather than automatically seeing it as a positive.
