Hire influencers in the Netherlands

Costs, the RSM label rules, and a safe way to pay.

To hire an influencer in the Netherlands, shortlist creators whose recent posts reach your buyers, agree the price and ad rights in writing, make sure the label is in the video itself and the description, and pay in stages.

The advertising rule in the Netherlands

The Dutch Reclamecode Social Media & Influencer Marketing (RSM) applies on every platform, in every format, and no matter how many followers the creator has. Ads must be recognisable as ads, and any relevant relationship, such as payment, a discount, or a free product, must be stated in the post.

Clear examples are #ad, #reclame, #advertentie, "Betaald partnerschap met [merk]", or the platform's paid partnership tool. A lone hashtag must stand out and not hide among other hashtags, and the code says putting it first is always clear.

For video, the label must be in the video itself (at the start, during the pitch, or throughout) and in the description. Since July 2022 "collab" and "partner(ship)" are no longer recommended for video. The RSM also bans fake likes and fake followers. Large video uploaders also fall under the Media Act, supervised by the Commissariaat voor de Media.

This is not legal advice. Check the current rules, and agree in your contract who adds the label and where.

What it costs

We do not have a the Netherlands-specific rate table. As a guide, the median agreed fee for one collaboration in Kolect's 2026 campaigns (global, in US dollars) was $250 for creators under 10K followers, $400 for 10K to 100K, and $600 for 100K to 500K. Convert to euros at the day's rate and treat the number as a starting point for a negotiation.

Before you book

  • Ask for the label in the video itself and in the description.
  • Ask for #reclame, #advertentie, or the platform tool first, not in a pile of hashtags.
  • Do not accept "collab" as the only label on a video.
  • Add a clause that bans bought followers and likes.

How Antellio handles the deal

  • Creators connect their accounts, so the media kit shows live stats.
  • Contracts fix the scope, dates, and usage. Milestones track the work.
  • The brand funds escrow, and the money is released when you approve.
  • Fees: 5% when a brand adds money to a wallet, and 5% when a creator cashes out. Brand plans are Launch $0, Growth $60, and Scale $200 a month.
