Costs, the ASAS disclosure rules, and a safe way to pay.
To hire an influencer in Singapore, shortlist creators whose recent posts reach your buyers, agree the price and ad rights in writing, make sure the sponsorship is disclosed as early as possible in the post, and pay in stages.
The advertising rule in Singapore
The Advertising Standards Authority of Singapore (ASAS) guidance notes on social media say disclosure is needed when a client pays for marketing messages, sponsors the content, pays for the promotion of an event or offer, or provides a product or service for a review at its own expense.
Disclosure should appear as early as reasonably possible. For images, it goes in the picture or the caption. For video, it must be visible within the video, especially where it plays without sound. For audio, it must be audible. Example wording: "This post was sponsored by...", "in partnership with...", "The featured products were provided by...", and "This post includes affiliate links". For short formats, ASAS lists #adv, #sp, #sponsored, and #endorsed.
The government says creators who post commercial content without disclosure breach the Code and will be asked by ASAS to amend or remove it. Persistent misleading non-disclosure can be referred to the Competition and Consumer Commission under the Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act. The ASAS guidelines also prohibit fake reviews and fraudulent engagement.
This is not legal advice. Check the current rules, and agree in your contract who adds the label and where.
What it costs
We do not have a Singapore-specific rate table. As a guide, the median agreed fee for one collaboration in Kolect's 2026 campaigns (global, in US dollars) was $250 for creators under 10K followers, $400 for 10K to 100K, and $600 for 100K to 500K. Convert to Singapore dollars at the day's rate and treat the number as a starting point for a negotiation.

Pick the wording in the brief, for example "in partnership with [brand]" or #sponsored.
Add a clause that bans fake reviews and bought engagement.
