Hire influencers in the United Arab Emirates

Costs, the Advertiser Permit, the label rule, and a safe way to pay.

To hire an influencer in the United Arab Emirates, shortlist creators whose recent posts reach your buyers, agree the price and ad rights in writing, check the creator's Advertiser Permit, make sure the post is clearly marked as paid, and pay in stages.

The permit and label rules in the UAE

The UAE Media Council requires an Advertiser Permit before anyone posts promotional content on social media, websites, or other digital platforms, whether the content is paid or unpaid. The grace period for existing creators ended on January 31, 2026. The permit number must be shown on the account, ads may only run through the registered account, and the account holder cannot let anyone else advertise through it. People promoting their own business, and under-18s in approved educational, cultural, sports, or awareness activities, are exempt.

The permit is free for the first three years for citizens and residents, then AED 1,000. Visiting creators need a Visitor Advertiser Permit through a licensed advertising or talent agency, valid for three months and renewable once. Specialised ads, such as real estate, healthcare, finance, education, and food, need prior approval.

The Council's advertising guide says to disclose paid content with a clear label such as #ad or #paid_ad, not hidden among many hashtags, in a clear font, at the start of the content or description and never behind "Read more". "Thank you to" or "in cooperation with" alone is not enough. In video the disclosure must also be spoken. The guide lists a fine of AED 5,000, doubled for a repeat within a year, up to AED 20,000.

This is not legal advice. Check the current rules, and agree in your contract who adds the label and where.

What it costs

We do not have a the UAE-specific rate table. Convert to dirhams at the day's rate and treat the number as a starting point for a negotiation.
